About
Hi, my name is Arkadiusz Kondas and I am an Engineering Manager from Poland, building and scaling engineering teams that ship software customers rely on.
I have been professionally involved in software since 2008, and for the last several years my focus has shifted from writing code to growing the people and systems around it. I lead engineers, shape technical strategy, and work at the intersection of product, architecture and delivery.
My background is deeply technical. I started as a PHP developer, created the php-ml open source machine learning library, and spent years designing and building advanced information systems as a software architect. That foundation still shapes how I lead: I care about clean architecture, honest trade-offs and engineering craftsmanship.
I am currently working as an Engineering Manager at Lendable, where I help engineers do their best work and help the business move faster through better engineering leadership.
I am an open-source advocate, a pragmatist and a teacher at heart. I write about engineering leadership, team health, software architecture and the realities of managing engineers in a fast-moving environment.
In my free time I run in mountain ultramarathons.
I want to build engineering organisations that create software which changes the world.
Those who are crazy enough to think they can change the world usually do.
